Khalifa Humanitarian Foundation launched a project to secure drinking water for 15 camps for displaced Syrians
With funding from the Khalifa Foundation for Humanitarian Works .. The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Beirut announced in a statement, “Under the supervision of the embassy in Beirut and through the Office of Humanitarian and Development Assistance, a project to secure drinking water for 15 Syrian refugee camps distributed in The Bekaa region for a period of 3 months, where it is expected to distribute 9,000 barrels of water at a rate of 300 barrels per day.The UAE ambassador to Lebanon, Hamad Saeed Al Shamsi, said: "More than 1500 families will benefit from this project by providing these families with drinking water on a daily basis, during the summer season." He pointed out that "these humanitarian projects come within the framework of helping the Lebanese government to bear the burdens of the Syrian refugees and provide the basic requirements for them, in light of the difficult living conditions they are going through."
