Last July, the Khalifa Foundation for Humanitarian Works launched a huge humanitarian project for the benefit of the displaced from Syria to Lebanon, whose value exceeded 74 million dirhams (20 million and 250 thousand US dollars), as it was considered the largest in Lebanon and more than 159 thousand displaced families have benefited from it. On Lebanese soil.The Foundation confirmed that this project comes on the basis of the sublime directives of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God preserve him, for the benefit of the displaced from Syria to Lebanon, pointing out that this aid covers all registered and unregistered displaced people in all Lebanese regions. The Foundation also sent 27 tons. Of dates to be distributed to displaced Syrians in Lebanon.At the end of 2013, the Foundation continues to assist the Syrian brothers in Lebanon, under the supervision of the country's embassy in Beirut, which has taken care of the expenses of a number of Syrian students whose families are on Lebanese soil.This aid comes within the humanitarian projects implemented by the Foundation in Lebanon, including the provision of medicines for chronic and acute illnesses among the displaced Syrians in the Bekaa and Wadi Khaled regions in Akkar.The Al-Maqasid Islamic Charitable Association in Beirut also received from the Foundation an "MRI 1.5 Tesla" device to support the Makassed Hospital, in addition to medical equipment and medicines for Wadi Khaled Health Center in Akkar, affiliated to the association, and food supplies for distribution to the displaced Syrians in Akkar.Amin Al-Daouq, Chairman of the Makassed Association, noted the assistance provided by the Khalifa Foundation for the relief of displaced Syrians in Lebanon, in cooperation with the Makassed Association, especially with regard to the distribution of food and medical rations and clothes in a supportive stand in solidarity with the displaced in Lebanon with the aim of healing wounds and pain relief.
