In implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, "may God protect him" to provide relief to the afflicted in the Republic of Haiti as a result of the devastating earthquake that struck Haiti on January 12th, and the great material and human damage it caused .. The Foundation implemented emergency aid to help the afflicted through 5 stages. ... where the Foundation sent in the first phase a relief plane loaded with 77 tons of aid .. As for the other phases, it was accomplished through direct purchase from the local market in the Dominican Republic for about 500 tons of emergency relief materials and medical supplies, in order to speed the arrival of this aid to the affected people.
