In implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and the orders of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces ... the Khalifa Foundation for Humanitarian Works has sponsored on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr Al-Mubarak, with the expenses of deporting 250 prisoners who spent the period of their sentences in the correctional and penal institutions in the country in various cases, and a judicial decision was issued against them to deport them outside the country and are unable to secure travel tickets to return to their homelands.The source added that the Foundation seeks, through this permanent project on its humanitarian agenda, to strengthen its programs and projects on the local scene, support the needy and poor prisoners who are unable to purchase tickets to return to their countries, provide care and support for this group and give them the opportunity to return to their homelands to reunite with their families.This humanitarian project was implemented in cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Interior through the correctional and penal institutions in the country, as this batch included prisoners of several different nationalities.This project comes as a commitment from the Foundation to its humanitarian role and to achieve the mission and goals for which it was established by providing any possible assistance to the needy, whether inside or outside the country.The beneficiaries expressed their sincere thanks for this generous initiative undertaken by the Khalifa Foundation for Humanitarian Work and for helping them secure tickets to return to their countries on these blessed days to be among their families during the blessed Eid Al Fitr.
