Relief assistance to two thousand families in the Afghan state of Nimroz
The Khalifa Foundation for Humanitarian Works distributed its relief aid to two thousand poor families in Nimroz State, southwestern Afghanistan ... which is a desert state where drinking water is scarce and most of its inhabitants live below the poverty line..and in coordination with the Humanitarian and Development Aid Attaché of the State Embassy in Kabul.The aid distribution continued for three days, while it included basic foodstuffs, blankets and household items ... which included 850 families in the Agriculture Department, 650 families in the airport area, and 500 families in Zanjir.Emir Muhammad Akhundzadeh, the wali of the state, members of the state’s Shura Council, and senior tribal officials valued this kind initiative by the foundation .. While the families thanked the Khalifa Foundation for Humanitarian Work for its assistance, noting that the state was for the first time this amount of relief aid to reach.It is noteworthy that the relief aid reached its beneficiaries in the five directorates of Nimroz State, as 200 poor families were selected from each district.
