In another local event, Etisalat organized a charity auction for the benefit of Khalifa Foundation, with a proceeds of 20 million dirhams, as the sales proceeds of the 70-digit Etisalat package auction in Abu Dhabi and Dubai exceeded 20 million dirhams for charitable projects of the Khalifa Foundation.Thus, the figures were sold at one and a half times more than the value Etisalat intended to sell, with the nominal value estimated at 7.72 million dirhams.The Communications Regulatory Authority announced its support for the auction, as its proceeds go to charitable causes, days after it had warned against trade in the distinguished numbers by sale and purchase, confirming that the phone numbers are the property of the state and it is not permissible to sell or trade in them.
