Funded and supervised by the Khalifa Foundation for Humanitarian Affairs and in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs, the residential villages for orphans and children of unknown parentage, to be established in Umm Al Quwain, have been named Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Village for Social Welfare.The area of ​​land allocated for building the village was increased from 40,000 square feet to 940,000 square feet, with the generous grant of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain.The village, which is financed by the Khalifa Foundation, consists of 30 residential villas, 26 of which are allocated for children and 4 villas for youth. Each villa consists of two separate floors accommodating two families, and each one of them contains 4 bedrooms, a hall, a dining room and a kitchen.Her Excellency Maryam Al-Roumi, Minister of Social Affairs, said that the Law of Unidentified Persons, recently issued by His Highness the President of the State, directed the establishment of a home for the care of children of unknown parentage and to provide all educational, health, psychological and social services for this group.Al-Roumi indicated that the Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Social Welfare Village will take care of the unknown parentage and take care of them and provide them with comprehensive care in cooperation with the competent authorities.The Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Village Social Care Project for Orphans and Children of unknown parentage includes a group of residential villas and gardens, with a capacity of 300 children, and one villa houses between 4 to 6 children, and the village has nurseries, youth homes, an administration building, and a clinic Medical, recreational center, playground, swimming pool, garden, library and mosque.
