The Khalifa Foundation, in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), implemented a project to rehabilitate and operate 27 water stations in the Sudanese state of North Darfur.This project comes within the framework of the Foundation’s keenness to provide services and development assistance to the people of Darfur State and to support the brotherly Sudanese people in light of the events taking place in the Darfur region.The Foundation has conducted a number of studies in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program and the competent authorities in Sudan to implement and operate (27) wells, including 3 full water wells equipped with pumps, tanks and fences, rehabilitate 6 wells, drill and install pumps for 18 wells, in addition to training the concerned people on how Use and the best way to perform the necessary maintenance on wells.
