The Khalifa Foundation for Humanitarian Works, in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs and within the framework of its humanitarian initiatives on the local scene, has implemented the Mir Ramadan project for the year 2009, where the project was completed and the foodstuffs received by the beneficiaries sufficient time before the advent of the blessed month of Ramadan. Of this humanitarian initiative, which is the largest in the region, more than 44,000 thousand families at the state level, or about 300,000 thousand people.The volume of various foodstuffs for Mir Ramadan reached more than 15,000 thousand tons of dry foodstuffs, in addition to other foodstuffs that people need during the blessed month of Ramadan. They were distributed regularly through the designated outlets in the cities and Emirates of the country, with regular dates to prevent congestion and the receipt of allowances easily and easily. The Foundation approved 26 centers for the distribution of Mir Ramadan as follows: In the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, it included 6 centers, namely, the stores of the Abu Dhabi National Society (food stores) in the port, the Jazeera Sports Club, the Bani Yas Cooperative Society in Bani Yas, the Al-Wehda Sports Club in Shahama, the educational district in the Western region, and the Delma Cooperative Society. In Delma."Mir Ramadan 2009" included 13 different foodstuffs, such as rice, sugar, flour, pasta, puree, edible oil, powdered milk, liquid milk, tea, jelly, cream caramel and vimto syrup.
