The Khalifa Humanitarian Foundation offers scholarships to educate 60 displaced Syrian students
The Khalifa Foundation, in cooperation with the UAE Embassy in Beirut, provided a scholarship to more than 60 Syrian refugee students to the "Al-Huda and Al-Alam School in Bar Elias", in the presence of a representative of the Lebanese Ministry of Social Affairs.His Excellency Hamad Saeed Al Shamsi, the UAE ambassador to Lebanon, said that "this grant offered in its second year comes as a commitment to the importance of educating, qualifying and providing the young generation with knowledge, which is the only way to play its role towards its society in the future."Al Shamsi stated that the UAE attaches utmost importance to the project of generating education, alleviating the burden of conditions that Syrian refugees in Lebanon are going through, and emphasizing on standing by them in the ordeal they are going through.The ambassador praised the support and sponsorship of the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Humanitarian Foundation for the projects that the embassy studies with the concerned government agencies and international organizations and submitted them to the foundation in order to contribute to its financing under the direct supervision of the embassy.
