His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Khalifa Foundation for Humanitarian Works, inaugurated the Mosque of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan - may God rest his soul - in the Al Zaab area in Abu Dhabi.His Highness, accompanied by His Excellency Ahmed Juma Al Zaabi, Deputy Minister of Presidential Affairs and Vice President of the Foundation .. inspected the sections and centers of the mosque, which accommodates three thousand worshipers, and viewed its contents and equipment, as well as performing the noon prayer. The mosque, whose construction cost reached 60 million dirhams and was overseen by the Khalifa Foundation for Humanitarian Work, the largest center for memorizing the Qur’an in the world, with a capacity for 600 students, in addition to a Fatwa Center under the supervision of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments. His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his pleasure with this cultural and human achievement and said that it constitutes a qualitative addition to the houses of worship, Quran memorization centers and awareness centers spread in Abu Dhabi and the rest of the Emirates in order to provide sound opinion and correct information on Islam. His Highness indicated that the Fatwa Center will be supervised by the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments, which in turn will provide the center with distinguished scholars and professors who will educate and guide the questioners about religious fatwas in accordance with the tolerant teachings of Islam that are aware of reality and understand the future.
