In implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, the Foundation provided urgent humanitarian aid to those affected by the cold wave and the needy in Erbil, Iraq.The Foundation implemented a relief program through which the necessary needs were provided, especially children, to alleviate the suffering of those affected by the cold wave and improve their humanitarian conditions, as the Foundation works in coordination with the State Consulate in Erbil and the Barzani Charitable Foundation to deliver relief materials purchased from local markets there to the affected people in Erbil Governorate and its suburbs.The relief operations included the needy in different areas in Erbil governorate and the provision of their needs of basic foodstuffs and other relief needs .. Where 370 families benefited from the aid in Al-Zaitoun complex, 815 families in De Beka, 45 families in Ain Kawi Elementary School, 110 families in Park Chander and 930 organizations. It is concerned with widows and orphans and 113 families in Ain Kawi Secondary School and 1525 in Qasruka.The Khalifa Foundation has strengthened its partnership with the Barzani Charitable Foundation to mitigate the repercussions of the cold wave on the affected people, who number in the thousands, as the Foundation carries out its humanitarian duties towards the needy.
