In implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God preserve him, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, the Khalifa Foundation for Humanitarian Works has started the first phase of implementing several vital projects in the Republic of Tajikistan.The implementation of these projects was initiated after the visit of a delegation from the Khalifa Foundation for Humanitarian Action to the Republic of Tajikistan to find out the effects of the damage caused by the earthquake, which reached a magnitude of 7.8 on the Richter scale in eastern Tajikistan, which resulted in the destruction of homes and vital facilities of economic and social importance in Tajikistan. East of the country completely and the displacement of hundreds of people.The Foundation purchased all equipment and materials from the local market in Tajikistan, with the aim of starting building 200 houses, rehabilitating an international main street of four kilometers, and rehabilitating an 800-meter water channel for drainage in the capital, Dushanbe. Also equipment has been purchased to distribute electrical energy in the region. Before that, the Foundation conducted a convoy of relief aid to the areas affected by the recent earthquakes and floods that swept the Republic of Tajikistan. The aid reached 95 trucks carrying hundreds of tons of construction materials, heavy equipment and various relief materials. The Foundation also implemented another phase of aid to build a number of homes and roads that were destroyed by the earthquake.
