During the year, the Foundation provided various assistance to Yemen to overcome the conditions that this brother country is going through .. During the year, the Foundation established an air bridge that included 12 cargo planes that carried 400 tons of Ramadan food and relief materials to the residents of Socotra Island. Thousands of Yemenis benefited from the cargo of these planes, who received aid from food and household supplies.They praised the generous Emirati beneficiaries who came in a timely manner, as the residents suffer hardship from the lack of resources and the shortage of conditions .. and they said that the UAE’s aid is not the first, as the residents have become accustomed to receiving aid from the institution that has important humanitarian imprints on the island as it built Sheikh Khalifa Hospital on the island Who receives patients and provides them with free treatment.In November 2016, the Khalifa Humanitarian Foundation delivered the first batch of four-wheel drive cars to the Socotra Archipelago Police, in order to support the police, as part of the continuous support to enhance security on the island of Socotra. This aid comes as a commitment from the Khalifa Humanitarian Foundation to implement the directives of the wise leadership for the relief of the brotherly Yemeni people, based on the fraternal feelings towards them and the leadership’s keenness to alleviate their suffering in the difficult circumstances it is currently going through.
