The Khalifa Humanitarian Foundation is keen to participate in festivals and exhibitions inside and outside the country to show its activities and support national families. The Foundation participated in the Janadriyah Festival that was held last November 30 under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud within the activities of the National Festival for Heritage and Culture and through the initiative to support national families to be present in the most important events held in the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab Gulf States.The UAE pavilion received great interest from festival guests, who came to see its ancient historical legacy.The corner dedicated to Emirati families, with the support of the Foundation, attracted more visitors who were familiar with the Emirati handicrafts created by the hands of Emirati families from Sadu, Khus, Tili, popular foods and handicraft products that contributed to highlighting the role of Emirati women in preserving this heritage crafts to this day as an essential component of Components of national identity.The Khalifa Foundation for Humanitarian Works participated in the professional exhibition for handicrafts (From Our Hand) in the tourist zone "Agdal" in Marrakesh, Kingdom of Morocco, from 7-18 November 2016. The Foundation was present for the fifth year in a row in the Global Village in Dubai, which is considered a major interface for culture, shopping and entertainment in the region, by equipping a special pavilion for them to display their products in 58 stores under a pavilion called "Khalifa Foundation for Humanitarian Work."The aim is to develop and build the capabilities of the nation’s individuals and urge them to work for a strong society built by the hands of its children, which is what the Foundation has reached in most of its projects on the local arena, such as the fasting breakfast project, which is implemented 100 percent by Emirati hands, and in-kind assistance and healthy meals for students through "school canteens." Where a large number of Emirati families contribute to the success of these initiatives.The Foundation's projects are considered one of the most advanced experiences of citizenship families ’initiatives at the Gulf and Arab levels. The various projects implemented by the Foundation seek to enhance the culture of the productive community that works to preserve its identity and its cultural and human heritage, and at the same time increases the incomes of those families to face the increasing burden of living. Day after day .The Khalifa Humanitarian Foundation's pavilion in the Global Village in Dubai aims to support Emirati families in order to benefit financially and morally as they compete to provide the best products they produce, and the Foundation works to secure outlets for them in the most important festivals and events held on the state's land.Exhibits in the pavilion included perfumes, clothes, abayas, traditional clothes, make-up, creams, cold and hot foods, Emirati honey, appliances, old furniture (antiques), modern fashion for adults and children, kitchen tools, spices, pickles, Emirati cheeses, accessories, dates, photography, embroidery and printing, in addition to phone accessories.The Foundation's pavilion in Global Village was one of the most important pavilions among 32 pavilions from 75 countries due to its display of goods made by Emirati hands inspired by the heritage and with a modern spirit that blends the ancient past and the prosperous present in addition to popular dishes.The Foundation organized a charity exhibition at Al Wahda Mall in Abu Dhabi as part of its continuous effort to support Emirati families by finding sales outlets to display what they produce in cooperation with partners and supporters of the Emirati Families Initiative in the public and private sectors.The exhibition included 8 stores to display and sell products of Emirati families, including women's and children's clothing, handicrafts, perfumes, food and sweets.The Foundation seeks to expand and increase the number of participating families by providing more supply and sales outlets to spread the benefit and in implementation of the Corporation’s strategy, which is consistent with the Abu Dhabi Government’s policy to enhance the factors that assist community development in the UAE, support Emirati families and encourage them to engage in the private sector and establish small and medium businesses. This is the second exhibition to be organized, as it achieved a tangible turnout, as the number of exhibitors increased to about 40 owners of small and micro-enterprises from various commercial activities.The Khalifa Foundation participated in the 12th session of the Liwa Date Festival in the Western Region in 2016, which is the largest pavilion for Emirati families in the popular market during the festival period for 40 Emirati families. For children, traditional crafts, accessories, pampering, bedspreads and cosmetics, in addition to a special corner in the market that serves popular foods.
