The Foundation has been vigorously and actively implementing its main program by providing the largest number of subsidized commodities to citizens, until the number of commodities reached 55, from which about half a million citizens have benefited this year.His Excellency Muhammad Haji Al-Khoury, Director General of the Khalifa Humanitarian Foundation, says that a great development has taken place in the program of subsidized national goods provided to citizens, as the number of citizens benefiting from this program increased, as well as the subsidized goods provided to them, which include more than fifty commodities that meet most of the daily living needs of citizenship families.He explained that the national products that the corporation supports for citizens are basic commodities and represent the main food for the citizen family, the most important of which are rice, sugar, milk, coffee and various other products that include most of the requirements of the Emirati kitchen at very reasonable prices for each family and according to its capabilities.He stated that about a thousand tons of foodstuffs are provided to citizens at reduced prices per month, and include basic materials of all kinds, indicating that the institution always receives citizens ’suggestions to develop a support program for these goods, and their numbers have been increased to 55 commodities of various types.He said that 70,000 citizen families benefit from this program, at a rate of 500,000 people who are now receiving subsidized goods at prices that are 20 to 50 percent below their original market price.He stressed that the project is receiving an increasing demand on the part of national families, as this generous initiative achieves the provision of dozens of varieties of necessary commodities and the provision of these commodities at reasonable prices to citizens, and the citizen receives his share at a very low cost on a monthly basis based on the number of his family members.He said: The project strengthens the values of human solidarity, and confirms the mission of the Foundation in its endeavor to facilitate living conditions, secure the needs of various groups of society, and promote the values of solidarity and community cohesion, which the wise leadership is keen to establish, in a way that supports the living stability and social well-being of citizens.The national products supported by the Foundation are distinguished by their quality in terms of healthy food, and they are more deserving to be supported as they are now within reach and there is a great trend of consumers on them such as national dates, healthy camel milk and many others.The subsidized commodity distribution centers have increased to 19 centers spread across the country. The new centers have designed designs that can accommodate an increasing number of beneficiaries, keep pace with the developments of the times, and contain all technologies for food safety and security, and other materials and commodities that are supplied to the centers.The new centers aim to provide amenities for citizens benefiting from food subsidies, and that their approved designs meet the needs of all citizens and provide them with goods in a very convenient and comfortable way. It is planned to use innovative technological and technological methods within those major centers to facilitate procedures and ensure that the beneficiaries of the service are not disrupted.Another advantage of this program is the delivery of foodstuffs to homes, especially for the elderly. Direct text messages are allocated to each beneficiary citizen in the quantities that were disbursed to ensure that the rations allocated to him are not exceeded.The centers were also divided according to the current engineering designs to accommodate the future expansion in the event of an increase in the number of subsidized food commodities or adding new quality food commodities such as meat and fresh vegetables .. Also, consideration was given to improving the beneficiaries' experience through the whole process of procurement and new quality services were introduced that will work at the beginning. Several related companies cooperate with the Foundation in this project.In Dubai, the total number of Emirati families registered until the end of last year reached 45,000 Emirati families benefiting from the subsidized food commodities initiative adopted by the Khalifa Foundation for Humanitarian Work.In Sharjah, the Foundation opened a center for selling subsidized food commodities to citizens in the Hamriyah area in the emirate of Sharjah, which is the eighth place in the emirate.In Ajman, the Corporation opened the Subsidized Goods Center in the "Spar" supermarket under the administration of the Abu Dhabi Cooperative Society in the Emirate of Ajman, in the Al Jurf area. And it is the third place in the emirate.
