The Khalifa Foundation for Humanitarian Work provided a medical device to the Thai Weichakron Rasim Hospital, which is one of the nine major hospitals in the Thai capital, Bangkok.His Excellency Saif Abdullah Muhammad Al Shamsi, the country's ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand, who supervised the delivery of the medical device, said that this assistance from the Khalifa Foundation for Humanitarian Works is part of a humanitarian aid program provided by the Foundation to the needy everywhere and also supports medical centers that provide treatment to patients.In his speech at a ceremony held on the occasion of the handover of the medical device to the Thai hospital, in the presence of Mr. Sukumband Paripatra, Governor of Bangkok, hospital directors of the Metropolitan Municipality Administration, and the hospital staff, he presented an overview of the assistance provided by the Khalifa Foundation for Humanitarian Work under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State. God is for the needy groups in more than 86 countries in the world.For his part, the Governor of Bangkok praised the UAE’s assistance to the Thai hospital, expressing his country's readiness to cooperate with the UAE in the delivery of the humanitarian aid it provides to the needy in Thailand, and wished progress and prosperity for the people of the UAE.The device, which was provided by the Khalifa Foundation for Humanitarian Works, is a laparoscope for patients at the Weichakarunrasem Hospital, which is located within the administrative division of the capital, Bangkok, in the Nang Chok region, which is inhabited by a Muslim majority, representing between 40 to 60 percent of the population. The hospital employs about 150 doctors and technicians out of 400 people who make up the hospital’s workforce.
