The Khalifa Foundation for Humanitarian Works supported the Syrian refugees in neighboring countries, as well as provided various assistance to Lebanon. The Khalifa Foundation also provided in-kind assistance to the displaced Syrian families in Lebanon, where more than 600 displaced Syrian families benefited from the aid in 14 compounds in the city of Sidon and its vicinity.The Khalifa Humanitarian Foundation, under the supervision of the country's embassy in Beirut, has sponsored the costs of educating a number of displaced Syrian students in Lebanese universities for the 2013-2014 academic year, with the aim of relieving refugees and extending a helping hand to them, especially as recent statistics indicate that more than 24,000 Syrian university students are in Lebanon.
