In view of the distinguished humanitarian role played by the Khalifa Foundation for Humanitarian Work, last year it sponsored the Zayed Humanitarian Work Day event on the tenth anniversary of the leader and founder of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul.A number of senior officials in the state witnessed this celebration and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan praised the bodies that launched humanitarian initiatives and contributed to enriching the activities of Zayed Humanitarian Work Day and expressed his optimism in expanding the scope of humanitarian work to include all governmental and private institutions as well as individuals of both genders and of all ages. Humanitarian work becomes a way of life, and the UAE society, with all its different groups and segments, turns into a charitable society par excellence, drawing some of them together and competing in the service of their society and their country.He stressed that the Zayed Day for Humanitarian Action, in which humanitarian initiatives are launched in all parts of the Emirates, is a translation of the approach established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, and followed this approach and strengthened by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him.
