Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, the leading Islamic financial services group, and in cooperation with Campden Wealth Foundation, the leading financial advisory company for families, honored a number of local and regional philanthropists during the awarding ceremony of the "Middle East Awards for Charitable Activities 2013".These awards, within their four categories, are intended to honor the efforts and endeavors of individuals and institutions who have made significant charitable contributions in the MENA region.The Best Charity Achievement Award for Life, which honors distinguished entities in the field of charitable work in the Middle East region, was awarded to Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Primary School in Beit Lahia in the Gaza Strip, and it is one of the initiatives of the Khalifa Foundation for Humanitarian Work, which provides education. For about three thousand male and female students in two shifts; Morning and evening.The Leader in Charitable Activities Award in the Youth Category for this year went to Mr. Nader Abdulrahman Al Mulla, Acting Deputy Director General of the Khalifa Foundation for Humanitarian Work. In his activities, Mr. Al-Mulla focuses on supporting victims of natural disasters and works actively with the international community and NGOs to provide urgent assistance to disaster-affected regions, such as Bangladesh, Pakistan, Cambodia, Yemen, Indonesia, the Philippines and Somalia.These awards witnessed great regional interest, as more than fifty entities submitted to compete for the four categories of the award. A jury composed of experts has been selected to oversee the nomination process and select the winners.
