His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, has ordered the appropriation of 500 million dirhams for the urgent purchase and distribution of various foodstuffs for the brotherly Yemeni people, based on his fraternal feelings towards the brotherly Yemeni people, and his keenness to alleviate their life suffering in the difficult circumstances that He passes through it, providing his basic needs of goods and foodstuffs so that he can pass it and complete the new construction phase, in a way that secures him security, stability and prosperity.His Highness the President of the State mandated the Khalifa Foundation to purchase various foodstuffs from the local markets in Yemen, with the aim of stimulating the economy and revitalizing the local market. The foodstuffs include rice, flour, sugar, oil, baby formula, food cans, and other essential items and needs.The Foundation implemented the first phase during the months of June and July and distributed about 30 thousand food parcels, the second phase during the month of September and distributed about 50 thousand food parcels, and the third phase during the month of November, and the number of beneficiaries reached about 16 thousand families.
